Help Turtles In Bancroft

Hello from Kelly at Think Turtle Conservation Initiative

Thanks to the support of Bancroft Township and Faraday Township Think Turtle Conservation Initiative will again this turtle season be involved in monitoring turtle activity in the Bancroft area this turtle season.

As Think Turtle is a volunteer-based initiative we need help from members of the community to achieve the conservation goals we aim to meet this turtle season.

To effectively meet the goals set out we require volunteers to check on designated locations for turtle activity. Turtle monitors can help on a regularly-scheduled basis or help out sporadically, as their schedule permits. If interested you do not need a background in science, research, or field work. We require the assistance of interested citizens who care about the decline in our turtle populations and want to help out.

Note: Sorry but due to turtle activity often being near roads this is not a suitable volunteering assignment for anyone under 18 years of age.

For more information about how you can be a part of this community conservation initiative to help the turtles please phone or text Think Turtle at 647-606-9537 or send an e-mail to thinkturtle@yahoo.com. Should you not be able to volunteer but know someone in the Belleville area that may be able to help it would be greatly appreciated if you shared this information with them. Thank you!

We look forward to hearing from you. Wishing you a good day, take care, and be safe.

Appreciatively,
Kelly Wallace, Managing Director
