Betty White Challenge 2024

Hello from Kelly at Think Turtle Conservation Initiative

Wednesday, January 17, 2024, marks the 3rd annual #BettyWhiteChallenge!

To honor her legacy and love for all animals, domestic and wild, the #BettyWhiteChallenge was launched in 2022 after Betty White passed away on December 31, 2021, at 99 years of age.

Betty White was a well-known advocate for animals and animal welfare. She was a passionate supporter of many animal rights organizations. She worked tirelessly to promote responsible pet ownership and kindness and compassion towards all living creatures. Her advocacy for animals was a significant part of who she was. Betty was widely admired for her dedication to the welfare of animals throughout her life.

THE CHALLENGE

On Wednesday, January 17, we encourage you to help support an animal shelter, rescue, or organization of your choosing by donating $5 in Betty White’s name. Let’s all help raise money for the care and protection of animals in need on this special day that Betty would have wholeheartedly supported.

Animal shelters, rescues, and organizations play a vital role in communities throughout Ontario to ensure lost pets are reunited with their owners, animals have shelter, care, and medical treatment when needed, find new homes for animals, and those involved in animal conservation pursue species recovery efforts. With limited resources and very little publicity, animal shelters, rescues, and organizations help countless animals. Give a hand to those that do so much for animals, people, and the community.

Please share and spread the word to encourage others to join the challenge.

Thank you for being a friend to animals in need!

With Appreciation,
